A beautiful & impressive three tier (five section) Globe Wernicke oak Barristers/Library graduated stacking bookcase on a plinth base, circa 1930, with three typical lift and slide glass doors. Comes with original fittings and makers badge. This type of bookcase was often referred to as a Barristers bookcase and advertised as “Always complete but never finished” due to the variations that could be achieved by adding or taking away sections. This particular version splits down into five stacking sections (including base and cornice top) that fit snugly and seamlessly into or onto the next. A superb and rare example, aged beautifully retaining its rich oak colour.
Condition: Been looked after very well with only very minimal age related wear. Overall superb.
