A stunning five section Globe Wernicke oak Barristers/Library stacking bookcase on legs, circa 1930, with four typical lift and slide glass doors and one solid bucket slide front. Comes with original fittings and makers badge. This type of bookcase was often referred to as a Barristers bookcase and advertised as “Always complete but never finished” due to the variations that could be achieved by adding or taking away sections. This particular version splits down into seven stacking sections (including base legs and cornice top) that fit snugly and seamlessly into or onto the next. A superb and rare example, aged beautifully retaining its rich honey oak colour.

Condition: Been looked after very well. some slight wear to the very top surface out of sight. Overall superb.
