An early 20th century solid oak campaign pedestal chest of four graduating drawers. Each dovetail jointed drawer retaining its original flush fitting brass swing handle and pulls out to reveal solid timber liners to the carcass, showing the added craftsmanship carried out. The top also displays wonderfully exposed dovetail jointing which adds to the overall aesthetics of this impressive chest.

Previously used as art drawers, the chest shows a lovely consistent wear or patination, displaying dings, dents or scars associated with a working piece of furniture.

Condition: Substantial, robust and fully functional. All drawers run smoothly and freely. All the dings, marks or scars associated with a good working piece of furniture and that gives it the wonderful character you see here. Wear commensurate with age. Ink spills to drawers. Retains three of four brass locks.
