A large and impressive freestanding Victorian open library bookcase or shop display fitted out with two bays of five fully adjustable shelves and all raised on a plinth base. Constructed primarily of oak with beautifully reeded side pillars and central column along with a neatly grooved detailing aligned to each frontal shelf.

A real interior statement piece that would have originally housed the books of a school library which has gained an enviable and characterful patina through use and time. We have chosen to go very lightly on any restoration to retain the history and integrity of this fabulous bookcase.

Condition: Solid, robust and fully functional. Knocks, scars and losses associated with a working piece of vintage or antique furniture. The proverbial ring marks to top surface, out of sight.
