George Hartley & Sons Ltd of Manchester cast iron ‘Nipping Press’. This large and very heavy ‘Beast ‘of a book binding press comes in its original factory finished black paintwork. As you can see from the photographs it opens up to show a large daylight area. ( approx 65cm ) This makes for a great modern day prop, with a number of uses to include Record Storage ( they'll never warp) and Book Displays. You could just show off by letting it take centre stage in your home or shop window.
