Vintage Bakers preparation table, circa 1940s. Recently removed from a bakery & confectioners in the North East of England, who has sadly had to close its doors for the final time. This rare, unique and quite exceptional piece has a substantial two plank sycamore work top, wonderfully patinated through continuous preparatory use. With pitch pine square tapering legs sectioned by an iron rod at either end to allow for the slatted shelving which runs the full length of the table to rest on, and to be easily removed to accommodate seating. Positioned at one end of the table lies the original iron hanging rail, with hooks, allowing you to display your culinary cooking tools, whilst the opposite end reveals a fully functional deep frieze drawer.

Original & authentic, this is an exceptional one off piece that will work equally and extremely well as a Kitchen Island / Work Station as it will a seated table.
