The substantial chest displays distinct and exceptional craftsmanship throughout and shows wonderfully exposed dovetail jointing to all sides. The top lifts up to reveal a voluminous interior that lends itself well to an array of storage applications. The lid is held closed by original and well engineered heavy gauge brass clasps that lock snugly and deliberately into place, allowing for padlocks if so required.
