19th Century Victorian Wing Back Library Chair
19th Century Victorian Wing Back Library Chair
An exception 19th century Victorian wing back library, lounge reading chair, upholstered in a plum brown velour style fabric with padded cushioned back rest and seat, with slim wings to side, flowing into elbow and arm rests. Raised on fabulous oversized carved and hipped mahogany ball and claw feet to the front, along with softly swept back legs and all sat on small stub brass castors.
Overview: I would say the camera has picked up the colour rather well and in my opinion this is the most wonderful plum/brown. Sourced from a dog and pet free home, the fabric carries no nasty odours, in fact considerably fresh. Although there is quite some age to the fabric, this would have been reupholstered during its time. The cushioned seat is wonderfully sprung and comfortable as is the padded back rest, giving an all round pleasing position of posture. You are more than welcome to view in person for peace of mind at LeBove Interiors Bristol. Open by informal appointment.
Condition: Strong, robust and fully functional. Only light wear to the fabric commensurate with age. No rips or tears.
