Arts & Crafts English Sussex Armchair by Morris & Co
Arts & Crafts English Sussex Armchair by Morris & Co
A superb Sussex armchair by Morris & Co dating to the Arts & Crafts period, circa 1890. The ebonised beech wood frame stripped through time displays an enviable patination making this a true one off piece. The later upholstered seat in a chestnut (reddish brown) faux leather is possibly forty years old and in great order.
This is a stand alone chair of wonderful proportions that will sit well in any room. Whether its used functionally as library / reading chair etc or just a strategic interior addition to marvel at...........It's sure to make you smile.
Aesthetics matched by versatility & function.
