The iconic Guy Rogers of Liverpool ‘Manhattan’ design sofa bed, circa 1960s.

Mid-century teak framed, 3 seater sofa bed with clever concealed twin storage compartment, accessed by just spinning on a simple well designed brass mechanism. Handy for storing pillows/bedding, valuables etc.

The upholstery looks far too good to be original but can not dismiss this maybe the case. The foam seating is soft not firm and in my opinion would benefit if replaced. The original Pirelli webbing is extremely clean with little or no sagging as pictured, when no weight added. There is a certain amount of sagging when weight applied. This can be linked to the reasonably soft seat pad. The back rest upholstery and storage compartment is as clean as a whistle and pretty much faultless. The pictures sum up nicely the lovely condition & colour of the upholstery fabric. A charcoal grey/black with micro stone check/fleck.

Condition: Been very well looked after with only extremely light wear to the teak frame. From a smoke & pet free home. Overall clean as a whistle!……. Super looking example.
